GREAT FLORIDA BANK FILES FOR STATE CHARTER (IN ORGANIZATION)

Miami, Fl. October 20, 2003-– A group of South Florida business and community leaders have filed an application with the State of Florida Department of Financial Services for a charter establishing a community bank headquartered in South Florida. Mehdi Ghomeshi is the proposed President and Chief Executive Officer of Great Florida Bank (In Organization).
Mr. Ghomeshi stated, “There is a significant opportunity for a community bank to improve the lives of its customers by providing ideas and solutions to their unique financial needs. It will take a team of experienced banking professionals and community leaders to make this happen. I am proud to have assembled a diverse and talented group of leaders that I am confident will get us there.”
